While it is undoubtedly an important aspect of our service that we create a tailored portfolio that best meets each client's objectives, we believe that there is far more to client relationships than just investment management and it is necessary for the service as a whole to be tailored to meet trustees' broader requirements; it is they who are ultimately responsible for the funds under their stewardship and they who must feel comfortable with what we are doing on their behalf.
The main benefits of our approach are:
- Assistance in creating, and ongoing support to maintain, an appropriate investment strategy
- Direct access to your fund manager
- Flexibility to accommodate changes in your circumstances
- Comprehensive reporting
- Independent advice
We feel it is our duty to ensure that trustees are best positioned to make informed judgements and to this end we offer a comprehensive educational programme designed specifically to meet trustees' and their officers' requirements. For several years we have hosted trustee courses - free of charge to our clients - whereby trustees are able to attend lectures and workshops dealing with a multitude of charity related issues from governance to finance to legal matters. We employ guest speakers who are at the forefront of their specialities within the charity sector and welcome suggestions as to how the programme can be improved with respect to both subject matter and participants.
We also provide representatives to take part in other similar training programmes that are operated by organisations elsewhere in the sector - be they investment, legal or accountancy orientated. We produce a regular charity newsletter and have recently published a guide to help trustees to formulate a written investment policy.
